The Rice-Martinez household found Katie in LaGrande, Oregon. They were looking for a domesticated, gunshy, great with kids and cats German Shorthaired Pointer (or mix with GSP). Pre-trained, saved from doom, you can't ask for more!

Resources for pet owners in the Puget Sound, Washington (USA) area. Seattle Animal Control is famous for its great foster care system, its great pet owner matching and training, resulting in a very low return rate of animals they adopt out. They also have "adoption counselors" who will match you with your perfect pet(s). :-}
